Upasana Das (she/they) is a Researcher, Visual Artist, Emerging Playwright working in the intersections of Literature and Visual Art. They have exhibited their work at The Irregular Arts Fair 2020, Paprika Festival (Canada) 2020 and are part of the Beyond Border’s programme by Young People’s Theatre (Canada). They have also been part of creative-research programs by Foundation of Indian Contemporary Art (FICA), Asia Art Archive (AAA), Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI), Serendipity Arts Foundation (SAF) and Film Heritage Foundation.
They were an Artist-in-Residence for Pickle Factory’s “Home for Dance” residency in 2021. They are also an Archivist at The 1947 Partition Archive.
