Ahon Gooptu

Ahon Gooptu is an actor, writer, theatre deviser, and scholar-in-making from Kolkata, India. He is currently pursuing an MA in Theatre and Performance Research at Florida State University. His research centers on the intersections between race and queer studies in migrant and immigrant theatre in the United States, particularly South Asian diaspora theatre. Ahon has worked with Pickle Factory as a research assistant, conducting interviews with various artists and administrators in the Indian dance and theatre scene and helping to create a one-stop information resource for Performing Arts Hub Norway (PAHN). ahongooptu.com
